Last Tuesday, January 19, I was not able to attend the class because of a stomach ache. I then asked my classmates the following day what happened when I was not around. My classmates said that ma’am Lynnie first discussed the basic structure of an essay which is the introduction, body and conclusion. My classmates had a lot of fun listening to ma’am Lynnie. We are required to make a reaction essay on a certain controversial issue we would like to react on. Last Thursday, January 21, ma’am Lynnie was not around because she had a leave. She went to Marawi city. She asked two psych students to handle a survey about online gaming. This survey was optional, you can take this survey if you already tried online gaming and with a clan, gang, guild and etc. I took the survey and answered it and then we were told that we could now go home.

another week of english 2

This week was a very tiring week for English 2 for me because I still do not have a topic for my term paper. Together with my friends who have the same course as me, we talked about what our topics should be. During the class, Ma'am Lynnie checked each of our topics whether it is appropriate for a term paper topic, and then approved it including the thesis statement.
On Thursday, we had our first preliminary examination. Just as what I have expected, it was very difficult. At the last part of the exam was an essay. We were told to talk about a specific topic and then give a thesis statement and an outline. We need to write at least 150 words and a maximum of 250 words. I was grateful that I was able to finish my essay. I hope I will get a passing score on that exam. God bless us all. ^_^

sensory words and descriptive writing.

Hello. We had another exciting week in English 2. We had a week of sensory words. Ma'am Lynnie required us to submit a specific topic for our term paper that is related to our field. She also gave the coverage for our upcoming Prelim exam. She also told us that we will have our make-up class on Saturday, at 3pm. Sad to say I was not present that time. Then we have discussions about descriptive writing. She assigned us to make a blog following the descriptive writing. Ma’am Lynnie also discussed about the things to avoid in descriptive writing like the run-on sentence and fragments. She also told us the points to be observed in a descriptive writing.

first time

Hello to my fellow bloggers. This is my first time in writing a blog because of problems in creating an account for this site. It seems that the holiday vacation is fast approaching. Indeed time flies when you are having fun. Last week was a little bit busy for us in the section of A3-2. Last December 8, we had a paragraph writing game. But this is not a normal paragraph writing game because we will write our composition in group. Every group member is required to write one sentence. We are not allowed to teach our other group mates what to write. It just depends on the one who is writing it. We were busy during December 11 because this is the deadline for our assignment. We were assigned to look for articles of the different methods of paragraph development. We are grouped by pairs by our teacher.

It was a week full of laughter and fun. We learned the need of the three important factors in writing a paragraph which is unity, emphasis and coherence.
